Here is an old 1940's badge by the defunct L.A. Stamp and Stationery firm.  The gold plating has been polished off of the front side and the panels have acquired a deep patina.  I will leave it to the new owner to decide if it should be cleaned.  The fork catch is original and works perfectly.  In addition to the L.A. Stamp & Stationery hallmark the word GILT is added.  The gold plating is still seen on the back side of the badge which is 3" tall.  The hard-fired blue enamel is complete.
