in 1995, the the California State Police merged with the California Highway Patrol after 108 years of service to the people of state State of California.

Recently, a reunion dinner was held for former California State Police officers. Two special badges were manufactured for this event.

This badge commemorates the merger of the California State Police with the California Highway Patrol and is laser engraved on the back denoting its status.  The badge replicates the badge given to (then) Governor Pete Wilson in 1995 commemorating the event. 

Fewer people showed up for the reunion dinner that were hoped for, so the excess badges are being offered to collectors.  Each badge comes complete with a presentation case.
