Twenty years ago, the supplier to the Mexicali Police turned to the now-defunct April Badge & Mint Co. of Ontario, CA to produce a better-quality police badge than what was being produced in Mexico.  This is the result.  It is by far the nicest version of this badge that was ever made.  It is made of solid brass with hard enamels in the same quality that April was known for.  It is 3 1/4" tall and is marked and dated by April on the reverse.  It is unused.
