This is a full size prototype of the Los Angeles Police Series One police badge.

Was used for 150 anniversary

The Series One badge, sometimes known as the 'flower" or "sunburst"

L.A.P.D. Badge was used from 1877-1890.

Series One badges are the rarest and most sought after L.A.P.D badges with only a handful surviving.

Even if a collector was able to locate one, it would undoubtedly cost a few thousands of dollars to obtain it.

Approximately only 4 Original Badges they exist in the world with title Captain.

One Belongs to Japanese Collector and the other badges are here in California.

This prototype badge measures approx. 3 x 3 inches in diameter.

Construction material: Nickel plated black enamel

Condition: badge have some Minor scratches..
